Description

This poncho/scarf is 100% Australian Fine Merino Wool.

All of my poncho/scarf are naturally dyed in my home studio in Snug, using various different leaves such as: eucalyptus, fern, maple, birch,  oak, seaweeds and many others, foraged locally from the Tasmanian bush and my garden.  The fresh leaves are contact printed onto the poncho with a gentle steaming process. Once the leaves are used I can’t use them again, and the leaves go back to earth in my compost. That’s why all of the products are one of a kind. No nasty chemicals, just the power and hidden beauty of the leaves.

You can wear you poncho in at least 5 different ways: buttons at the front; buttons at the back; buttons going down your on the left shoulder; and on your right shoulder; and few ways as a scarf. So many options to try!

Sizing:

The poncho fits nicely from size 8 to size 16 (one size – fits most).

How do you care for it?

I recommend hand washing only, using a mild (preferably eco-friendly) detergent in cold water. Please do not rub vigorously, because you risk felting it, which will cause shrinking. Do not tumble dry. Rinse out the detergent. Gently remove excess water, and lay your poncho flat on a dry absorbent towel. Roll it up in the towel, pressing firmly as you roll. Don’t wring the towel. Let it fully dry. After that you can iron it on wool settings.  The first few washes the poncho may release little dye. This is normal.
