Hi, my name is Téo Stamatov, and I’m 16.  These are my products that I sell along side my mother Lidiya. She has kindly and patiently walked me through the process of collecting and printing the leaves to achieve the prints you now wear on your head and hands. I hope to continue making these beanies and fingerless gloves in future, and even stretch my reaches to more fascinating products. 

 

 

Your very own unique beanie and fingerless gloves are handmade with Australian fine merino wool. Naturally dyed using fresh leaves in our home studio-Snug, Tasmania. The leaves are Contact Printed, a subcategory of Ecodyeing, onto the beanie and the fingerless gloves with a gentle steaming process. Once the leaves are used I can’t use them again, that’s why all of our natural-dyed products are one of a kind. No nasty chemicals, just the power and hidden beauty of the leaves.  

 

 

How to care for them?  

I recommend hand/machine washing, using a mild (preferably eco-friendly) detergent in cold water up to 20C is fine.  If you like, you can iron them on ‘Wool Settings.’ The first few times you wash them, they may release a little bit of  dye; don’t be alarmed. This is normal. 

To help preserve the colours of your products, consider adding a splash of vinegar to the final rinse. This simple step can enhance colour longevity and keep your items looking vibrant for longer.
